Last Wednesday was my last day at work, and it was a good one, and I don’t really know what else to say about it. 9 PM is totally late-night for Eugene, and ribs are delicious… suffice it to say I’d be there tonight except for how I’m across the country hoping to find a place to live next month! But maybe next week….

I traded for this one, since the prep list was freaking huge and I felt bad inflicting it on the new guy (who had to leave early yesterday, which contributed to the mess I’m about to go wrangle, but then again I actually like prep). I got to Morning Glory a little late, so I didn’t really get any of my prep chores started before opening time, and at 7:30 (yes, AM) the phone rang, and I was within arm’s reach:
“Are you guys open yet?”
— “We’re open 7:30 to 3:30 every day.”
“So can I order some food to go?”
Okay, I thought, so that’s how it’s going to be. (more…)
