An edible experiment. 17 February 2009 11:56 pm

Those are steamed dumplings with condensed milk, at a little place called Noodle Village at the south end of Mott Street in Chinatown. I had no idea what I was ordering exactly, but Ophelia and I were on sort of a mystery treat quest after revisiting Radiance teahouse earlier in the day. Turns out: you can just get slices of the mystery starch that steamed dumplings are made of. And yes, the mystery goo in the corner of the plate really is sweetened condensed milk. Did the snack get us all tweaked out on sugar and ready to try whatever else looked exciting? Maaaaaaayyyybe….
Pictures of today’s other experiment will have to wait until a more reasonable hour and better internet connectivity (it’s taken for-freaking-ever just to upload that one picture, I tell you what).
