We had tea almost every day of her visit, and I am looking forward to writing about those tea places. Other memorable TracyFood-type highlights of hanging out with Allison in my new city included finally trying that local Italian place, and revisiting a yummy deli, this time for brunch, and the local Cuban diner. Our fridge is still piled high with the leftovers from that last, but Peter finished my mofongo con queso yesterday. (My willing- nay, eagerness to eat just about anything involving plantains continues unabated.)

In other news, I’ve been doing a 24-hour diet record for my nutrition class for about… 32 hours now, and it’s reminding me why I focus my food obsession on deliciousness über alles — the other stuff makes it way too easy to get obsessive-compulsive. (more…)
