I’ve got even fewer fingernails now than when that picture was taken:

…but according to the U.S. postal service, my ballot was received on Saturday afternoon. So. If you haven’t yet taken your turn, I want you to vote, as hard as you can. And even if you’re not eligible to do so in the U.S. this time around, I hope you’ll join me in hoping for the very best this Election Day.

P. S. Eugenians! You also know what to do!

Tisk tisk, you didn’t change your place of residence.

(I miss the “connect the arrow” ballots, here we have “fill in the bubble” ones.)

Actually, since the bureaucrats know full well that we no longer own the House of Infinite Monkeys, I did change my place of residence (and almost disenfranchised myself by dyslexia by switching two digits on the Eugene address I used for my voter registration over there — it was terrifying, and such a relief to sort it out). But until Peter graduates, part of us is still in Eugene, and I care way more about Kitty Piercy over Jim Torrey than I do about any of the local elections in this state, what with only having had ten weeks to learn about them and all. I know it’s going to be much more of a pain in the butt to get a NY drivers license now that I’ve been here more than a month, but I’m pretty sure it was worth it to wait, since that would have switched my OR registration for sure.
