Here it is (I meant to post it yesterday but the 1930s spouse test was just too funny to resist):

The french toast is weird but surprisingly good; Gail made a test piece while I was closing the kitchen on Thursday and it took sort of a long time to get done (I’d already turned on the griddle and it’s slow to warm up) but then the bananas actually browned really nicely. The soup wasn’t done by the time I left, but it was smelling pretty good, and as always I am a complete sucker for all things portobello mushroom. Happy weekend, everybody!

Now I’m off to Saturday Market for whatever deliciousness catches my eye, but definitely eggs. We’re low on eggs, and the Happy Chicken folks have a stand on Saturday.
