Regular monkey-style early-week randomness resumes tomorrow, I swear. But in the meantime, um, well, yeah:

In case you don’t want to click through to Flickr to read the fine print and admire my shaky excited-nervous handwriting and (if I do say so myself) fine job of obscuring identifying information like addresses and bank account numbers, my stated reason for choosing NYU is:

the NYU Food Studies program has always been my top choice; nowhere else has such an interdisciplinary approach to the subject.

which is a bureaucracy-friendly way of saying,

Nobody offers an advanced degree in “What’s that over there?” so I’ve narrowed my focus down to “Are you gonna eat that?” and I know of no better place than NYU Food Studies to formally learn more about finding answers to that question.

But seriously, y’all. I am so freaking psyched. And now I am off to the post office to put this sucka in the mail. And then I will do a victory dance to the Talking Heads: “You’d best believe/ This thing is real.”
