Guess what’s playing at my favorite local hippie café from now until it runs out?

That’s right, Tracy granola. Like it says right in the Flickr caption, I am so proud.

We’d been out of granola for like a week, and today I noticed that some enterprising baker had assembled all the dry ingredients, minus coconut, and left them ready to go for whenever that last precious commodity was next delivered. Well hot damn, I thought. Granola doesn’t have to have coconut, in fact my favorite kind has none at all! After examining the available recipes, I knew what I had to do. So I did. Fortunately, the recipe was fresh in my mind from having made a batch just this past Sunday, and I was feeling my “well, I’ll just mix stuff together till it looks good” oats — um, no pun intended, given the ingredients in question. Hee hee. Anyway, here’s the finished product:

That’s a one-cup measuring cup just for scale, to show off the big beautiful mixing bowl I got to fill with crunchy Tracy-spiced goodness. I didn’t get any orders for it today, which means the real moment of truth will be tomorrow… and if the customers don’t like it, you’d better believe that stuff is coming home with me. Aw, yeah.
