Monkey Monday: a survey, a menu, and more! 25 February 2008 11:25 pm

Today’s post is late because I was filling out a a web survey about eggs, about which, regular readers of this blog know, I’m sort of obsessed. If you’re in the habit of buying organic, cage free, humanely raised, free range, or otherwise hippie-friendly eggs, the folks behind this survey want to hear from you! For me the open-ended questions were like a series of useful writing prompts, so by the end of the survey (the optional questions, which you can skip if you’re not obsessed like me) I was copying the questions and my answers into a Google Document for future reference (and editing into TracyFood post form, most likely). Did I mention that I have strong opinions about eggs?

But speaking of some of the professional reasons for my strong opinions about eggs, the other reason this post is late is because I covered part of Beth’s shift at Morning Glory. Good times, especially the freaky 2-3 PM rush and the guy who wouldn’t take a hint and finally left at 4:15. Seriously, people, if you’re the only table left in the restaurant and the server tells you it’s past closing time, do the math. And leave a good tip, too. But I digress. Here’s this week’s organic specials:

Morning Glory Organic Specials

Those went up last Friday, and will continue until Thursday or Friday this week, or until we run out of ingredients. Look at me, resolving not to eat all the creminis.

And while I’m on the subject of my Flickr pages, there’s new Nepal pictures up, including a few fun stitched-together landscape panoramas. No new food from the trip since last Friday’s photo post, though. Clearly, I must work faster. However, I am happy to report that as of some time this weekend I have posted more than half of my Nepal trip pictures, which means I may actually finish this project someday after all. Yay!

Oh man. I want your waffles.

When I got in to Morning Glory on Monday there was a huge tray of granola cooling in the kitchen, and I could not resist its powers, which bodes very well indeed for those waffles. Yum!
