Foto Friday: Where did this week go? 25 January 2008 5:44 pm
Posted by Tracy in : Morning Glory, baking, books, cooking, eating, friends, meta, pictures, soup , trackbackOof, kids. I don’t seem to have a lot of words this week, but I have lots of pictures. First, Peter and I made chocolate chip cookies on Saturday (these pictures are from an earlier batch that really deserves a writeup all its own):
We made ice cream sandwiches with some of the cookies and homemade ice cream (again, this is a picture from the earlier batch):
and ate the rest on Sunday’s ski excursion, which was followed by some tasty chili.
Then on Monday, Allison came down to visit on Monday, and we made tasty treats: Tarte Tatin and oatmeal scones!
On Tuesday we had a weird day at Morning Glory, full of customers who didn’t seem to understand our hours of operation. But I got to make potato-corn chowder, so that made me feel a little less murderous.
Wednesday I went to my nutritional anthropology class, then spent a little quality time at Black Sun Books, where I spotted the following words of wisdom:
and of course yesterday I made sure to pick up the relevant Laurie Colwin book at my friendly local public library. I also read most of Gina Kolata’s Rethinking Thin and it was awesome and thought-provoking and someday I hope to be a lot more articulate about it.
Today I sucked it up and made this lame photo post in lieu of what should have been a short entry a day every day this week. Next week I’m going to try daily photo posts for fun and ease in this time of low verbosity. Here’s to delicious weekends for everyone!

Mmmm…tasty dessert items. Benjamin Franklin may believe that God loves us by giving us beer, but I really think God manifests her love better in the form of a chocolate chip cookie!
