Not badly, or so I decided after more than an hour in the waiting room at urgent care, when I went to the bathroom and washed my hands and replaced my wet bandage with a new one from the triage nurse and concluded that I didn’t need stitches after all. My machismo had kicked back in, for one thing, and for another I was really hungry and since changing the bandage didn’t restart the bleeding I decided my lightheadedness was probably due more to the fact that I hadn’t eaten for hours rather than the shock or pain of what is still a nasty enough cut that I’m glad I got to leave work early today. Based on the past seven days and the fact that I’m working every day this week except Wednesday and Friday, I predict maybe I’ll be able to pull off three posts this week as well. Really. That’s what I get for going home too early (i.e. at the very hottest part of the day) instead of staying at Peter’s nice air-conditioned office at the U of O (more…)

I had a fabulous vacation, (for pictures see here) and now it’s good to be home, even if my brain is so busy thinking about the trip that I hardly know where to begin writing even on just the TracyFood-related ideas.
