I purchased all necessary ingredients today but will wait until baking tomorrow because tonight (and parts of early tomorrow morning) the kitchen is dedicated to Peter’s contribution to the awesomeness.
Secondly, I created an email account for TracyFood over in Gmail land. You can probably guess what it is, so feel free to send your Ask TracyFood-type questions there if you don’t want to post them in the comments. Keep the questions coming! Food advice is super-fun to write!
Thirdly, Peter and I went to Iraila with Stony and Janelle and Raine tonight, and there was not a kiddie menu in sight: Raine shared the same food as everybody else, and she made very sure that no cherry tomato went uneaten. Better still, the lentil-garbanzo that inspired my quest to discover/invent My Favorite Lentil Salad is on their new summer menu full-time, along with delicious falafel and tabbouleh on romaine leaves (those last two being highlights of tonight’s dinner as well as Iraila’s fantastic “Mediterranean fast food done Slow Food style” family night last year). Hurray for deliciousness!
Fourthly, I can’t decide if I have a gardening problem or a gardening solution, but either way I ran out of potting soil yesterday and when I went to the hippie home and garden store for more today, all the vegetable starts were on super-sale for 99 cents each and so I got four more tomatoes. Which I can totally fit in the garden, really I can. Or put in containers using the new potting soil! See, it all works out perfectly!
Fifthly, I am super sleepy and must go to bed.
