Just for comparison: one “normal” day’s food (no work, no locality restrictions) 26 April 2007 2:56 pm

Still, I wrote down everything I ate on Monday and Tuesday for comparison to this weekend’s locavore experiment (in case maybe my food habits have changed dramatically since my original hungry Tracy experiment, and here’s what I ate on Tuesday:
Breakfast: cottage cheese pancakes made with Nancy’s cottage cheese and Umpqua sour cream and Raynblest Farm happy chicken eggs and flour and baking powder and suchforth of unknown origin, fried in Umpqua butter and served with Apple Hill Farm applesauce and Danish Orchards blackberry jam. Also I had a little more than a cup of Wandering Goat organic and fair trade french roast coffee with Umpqua half and half and sugar of unknown origin.
Like I mentioned on Tuesday, we generally don’t do breakfast this elaborate (especially on weekdays) except when we’re showing off for guests. On a more ordinary day we might have just had Tracy granola with Nancy’s yogurt or homemade no-knead bread with cheese.
Lunch: a piece of freshly baked homemade no-knead bread.
Snack at class: fresh baby bok choi at the Urban Farm! Yum!
Dinner: Another slice of no-knead bread with Cabot extra-sharp cheddar (from Vermont; not very local but so delicious).
Salad of Groundwork Organics baby greens and carrots, organic celery bought at Red Barn, homemade honey-mustard dressing with local honey and Beaver brand mustard (made in Oregon), sunflower seeds bought at Sundance (probably organic), and freshly ground organic black pepper bought at Sundance.
Red lentil curry and coconut basmati rice.
Orange juice (frozen, from concentrate, extra pulp.

Like I mentioned before, that’s a nonstandard breakfast for us, but what’s really weird about that day’s food is that it doesn’t include any tea. I generally make a pot or two a day, and drink at least a liter depending on whether anybody’s around to share. And now I must finish writing up my report on my local food weekend (I thought it was due Tuesday but luckily I’ve had a little extra time to revise).
