Home! And now, back to work! 30 March 2007 9:38 pm
Posted by Tracy in : pictures, politics, work, Morning Glory, restaurants, friends, cooking , trackbackLike I mentioned earlier this week, I had all kinds of good reason for not posting every day of spring break. Riding to Corvallis and back was an adventure, gardening and having tea with Allison was delicious, and having dinner with the Jarlors was fun, too. (Note to self: post tofu ricotta recipe already.) But now we’re home, and I’m working for the next three days, so I figured now was as good a time as any to post scans of the new and improved Morning Glory menu so you all would know what I’m up to at my hippie job.
Click on the pages themselves to go to the annotated copies on Flickr (the notes feature is new to me or I would have tried to put my comments on the big versions of the pictures):

And that’s what I’ll be doing at my job this Saturday, Sunday, and Monday! In addition to this regular menu, we have an all-organic specials menu that changes every week, usually on Friday afternoon. It usually features one savory breakfast item, one sweet breakfast item, and two more lunch-like offerings. At least one of these is always vegan, too. Our soups are always vegan, and sometimes I get to make them! Also sometimes I’m in charge of ransacking our random vegetables to invent new special omelettes, although that’s not as much fun as soup because as far as I’m concerned the omelettes should be all mushrooms and herbs all the time, but that’s too expensive and there’s almost always leftover broccoli. Oh well.
Thanks for reading, and I’ll be back to the regular weekday posts starting on Monday!

I’m really tired and just now realizing how hungry I am. Holy crap do I wish there was a restaurant like this around here.
I totally wish I could feed you more often. Also today I decided I want a t-shirt that says “I’d rather be cooking tofu,” like for wearing to doctor appointments or whatever.
